Learners visit the Saplings project

Preparing our learners for life after education is an important part of our work and we are delighted that Thames Water have leased us the Saplings space in Muswell Hill to help us achieve this aim.

We are creating a range of opportunities to extend the horticulture and ecology curriculum for our learners. These include creating vegetable and fruit growing areas in keeping with the adjacent allotments.  Through access to the rest of the site young people will learn woodland appreciation and management skills. We shall be making very effort to promote the biodiversity of the site and shall be taking an organic approach to our horticulture activities.

This month some of the learners from the Pears Campus at CONEL in Tottenham have started to visit the Saplings project on a regular basis.
